AVI Address Validation
The objective of Address Verification Interface (AVI) Address Validation is to describe the process of validating the address entered by a user in the Master Data Governance (MDG) tool. After successfully logging into the MDG tool, the user enters the address which the system automatically validates and provides the result which is known as the accuracy code value. This value determines whether the user defined address is an exact match or different address found or no match. An appropriate status message is displayed before the submission of the form.
- MDG 11.6 Version
- AVI Component
Once the user is logged in to the MDG tool, they can enter the address data in the form. The address data comprises the following attributes.
- Street Address
- Street Address 2
- Region or State
- Postal Code
The system then validates the address entered by the user through a validation process which is carried out based on the following three conditions.
- Exact match/high-probability
- Different address found
- No match
In the back end, AVI Service validates the address entered by the user and provides the result in the form of accuracy code value which is in terms of percentage (%).
- If the accuracy code (accuracycode_qsav) range is greater than or equal to 95, the output message displayed will be “Verification successful!“.
- If the accuracy code (accuracycode_qsav) range is between 85 and 94, then the output message displayed will be “Different address found“.
- If the accuracy code (accuracycode_qsav) range is less than equal to 84, output message will appear like “The address requested did not have a match in our database. Would you like to enter a different address?”.
The advantage of usingAVI service is that the user can easily verify whether the address entered by them is valid or not before the submission of the form. Based on the Accuracy code value (%), user can make the decision whether to proceed or re-enter the address details.
